NCMHCE Passing Score: How Scoring Works
Published 2026-10-30 · Facts and text checked 2026-10-16 · Reviewed by Hana N., Quality Reviewer
There is no fixed NCMHCE passing score. NBCC sets the cut score for each exam form through standard setting and statistical equating, and the maximum score is 100. That is why two candidates may need slightly different raw results; aim to be clearly above the line on mixed, case-based practice before you book.

Only 100 questions are scored: one of the 11 case studies is unscored and used for statistics, and you cannot tell which one, so work every case with the same care.
