Your program decides how you take the exam: either at a Pearson VUE test center that you book, or in a university-run administration where the program sets the date, time and place and Pearson VUE is only the payment portal.
Check-in opens 30 minutes before your appointment and closes 15 minutes after it; arriving later means you cannot test and you lose the fee. Missing the appointment also forfeits all fees, so plan the day before.
